They left a huge plot hole open in that first episode from this season. However, they make up for it in this one. It centers mostly around Max, with brief interludes for The Ghoul and Lucy, Hank, and Norm. Somehow, I completely forgot most of this episode, but damn it was a good one. Continue reading for my Fallout Episode 10 plot summary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Shady Sands Ends and Young Max Begins<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Jo Stafford - You Belong To Me\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zQfF84ackMM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Open on idyllic life and focus on young Maximus. NCR troops walk through the streets. Max\u2019s dad is working on a water pump\/filter. His mother comes out of the house to join him. They test the water. No trace of rads. Mom tries the water. There\u2019s more down there than we though. No worries about rationing. More crops. Another kid? When you figure out how to push a baby out of my. \u201cPatrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter\u201d over and over from a passing merchant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Max and his Dad have a conversation and approach the man who was muttering to himself. His eyes are bleeding and he\u2019s still repeating that line. Oh shit, he\u2019s got one of the devices on his neck. There\u2019s a nuclear warhead in his cart. Max\u2019s Dad tells everyone to run and sends Max off to his mother. Max runs, clearly distraught. His father tries to defuse the bomb. He nervously cuts a wire and sighs. Nope. Failsafe activated. He runs, too. Three minutes with a smiling vault boy. Max\u2019s father makes it back and tells Max to get his kit. He cleans out the fridge. \u201cDon\u2019t be scared now. Listen. Someone will come to get you out, but until then..I need you to eat and drink very slowly.\u201d Max is crying. His parents try to console him. \u201cIt could be tough out there but as long as we leave it a little bit better than we found it..\u201d \u201cNo, Daddy\u201d as he closes the door. They embrace. Flash of light and a mushroom cloud and the blast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fallout Episode 10 Plot Summary (Okie Dokie)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Overseer Hank is washing his hands. Young Lucy calls to him to read to her as he looks at himself in the mirror. \u201cOkie Dokie\u201d. ON his PipBoy, \u201cDetonation successful.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Conquering Hero Returns<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td>Max in his armor. Making his way through and murdering ghouls, humans, anything that gets in their way. They are relentless. I think it\u2019s mostly, if not all ghouls. They come to an office. A ghoul rises from the corner very dramatically. They waste it. A power core. \u201cThat\u2019s what we came for?\u201d \u201cDoesn\u2019t matter. Pack it up and report to the Vertibird.\u201d Max looks forlornly out into the Wasteland from the vehicle.<br>They land on a huge Brotherhood blimplike flying vessel. This whole scene is slow and deliberate. Very well shot and acted. \u201cAll hail Knight Maximus!\u201d The conquering hero again returns.<br><br><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Two people make their way thorough an old playground in the Wasteland. They put a fusion core into something and \u201cGood. We got power.\u201d A vertibird takes off.<br>Maximus hands over the \u201ckey to our new home\u201d to the Elder Cleric. He starts to wax about the Brotherhood becoming scattered. But they may now be able to reunite over one banner again. The people on the ground get a signal from the brotherhood and turn the key. Several huge turbines come out of the sand and start spinning. Quintus shows it off to Max. The fans blow the sand away and reveal Area 51 military base. \u201cTogether, we will fullfill our promise to make better\u2014this fallen world.\u201d Max smiles. \u201cMy son.\u201d Max smiles more.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Just Like You. Stupid<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Lazy Day Blues\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YoiyS2H8MU0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Back to the Ghoul and Lucy. She drinks. \u201cWater\u201d he demands. \u201cWere you always this rude? I\u2019m guessing not.\u201d \u201cYour family may be out there. *paraphrased* crazier things have happened. But I\u2019m sure they wouldn\u2019t appreciate the person you\u2019ve become.\u201d The Ghoul stares. \u201cYou want them to like you right?\u201d That seems to hit. \u201cI\u2019m just saying a little kindness goes a long way. Charles Dickens even wrote a book about it. I can tell you if you want to know.\u201d \u201cNope\u201d. \u201cCut to her talking about the third ghost and he\u2019s pretty much cured! \u201cUh huh.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As they pass a hospital, there\u2019s someone screaming for help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI think it\u2019s coming from inside.\u201d \u201cEmpathy\u2019s like mud. You can lose your boots in the stuff.\u201d He keeps walking. \u201cWell, I\u2019m not going to let someone die while I listen to them scream.\u201d \u201cFolks have been screaming for 200 fucking years.\u201d \u201cDid it ever occur to you that if you help them, they might stop?\u201d \u201cYou want to know what I was like before the war?\u201d Just like you. Stupid. Shouting continues. Lucy goes to help. The Ghouls sighs, but follows. Screaming continues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWaste of time.\u201d \u201cDoing the right thing is never a waste of time.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They enter the hospita, following the voice. Dogmeat leads them to the preson screaming. A woman in a toga. \u201cWe need medicine.\u201d Lucy: \u201cWhat happened here?\u201d Ghoul: \u201cTunics. A little far west, ain\u2019t ya?\u201d The woman shows a knowing look. Lucy offers a stimpak. \u201cThat would be a profound misallocation of resources. Folks dressed like that don\u2019t deserve saving.\u201d Lucy gives him a stare. Offers water. Another one over here. Ghoul slits his throat and takes a bite. \u201cBut you did lead us to dinner.\u201d The Ghoul spits out the flesh. The dude has wounds all over his body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">*skittering* Lucy: What is that? *more skittering*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Boom, then clanging. The woman breathes harder. \u201cThey\u2019re back\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Something in the duct. Radscorpions! Two attack. The Ghoul blasts on. Lucy squishes another. Something bangs on the door. A massive one and it looks hungry. Yep, eats a little one and advances on the Ghoul. The radscorp gets its stinger caught. The Ghoul fights off the big one while Lucy kills two more. The Ghoul uses the woman as a shield when the thing attacks with its stinger. The Ghoul shoves a grenade inside the thing, tosses it aside. \u201cSo long, Sweetheart.\u201d It explodes. The Ghoul and the woman now need the stimpak. Lucy administers it to her. \u201cFuck you.\u201d \u201cShe\u2019ll die without it.\u201d \u201cWe\u2019ll get you home to your people.\u201d \u201cGolden rule motherfucker.\u201d \u201cThat rule is for people. You\u2019re disgusting. Cruel. I\u2019m nothing like you. Which is why after I get her home, I will come back. But you\u2019ll have time to think about the consequences of your actions.\u201d They leave. Great line here: \u201cDon\u2019t worry about him. He\u2019s durable. He\u2019ll be fine.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Scene<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where&#8217;s Bud Askins?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Back in vault 31 with Norm and the rapidly thawing Bud\u2019s Buds. They are a bit disoriented and take some time to exit their pods. Norm meets them after they\u2019ve had a chance to get their suits on. \u201cWhere\u2019s Bud Askins? Has anyone seen Bud?\u201d \u201cI thought this was going to be more of a one by one situation.\u201d Norm: There\u2019s been a change of plans.\u201d One person is still blind (a change of plans, duh). Another falls out of her pod, but she\u2019s fine. Fine folks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Norm addresses them to explain. It must be Reclamation Day! Norm lies. It is reclamation day. Bud Askins is dead. That much is true. Remain calm. We need to figure out a way to get out of here. Are we trapped? They panic. Norm tries to calm them. They continue to panic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fallout Episode 10 Plot Summary (Kablooey)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Vault Tec HQ with Hank. He drives a golf cart while swinging his yoyo. Cryogenic depository. Then stops at livestock and brings a mouse back with him. Heads back u while cradling the mouse. Uses a pair of tweezers to attach a device to the mouse. Puts the mouse into a glass box with a tiny cubicle after giving it a little pet. Presses the button. Turns the dial. Smiles. Turns again. Kablooey. Rinse and repeat a few times. Takes notes after each one. A few more times. And more times. He\u2019s exasperated. Wait, have we figured it out? It\u2019s going to the computer. Kablooey. Nope. \u201cOkay\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fuck the Commonwealth<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Back on the airship above the base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They enter the base in their armor. Teeming with equipment that looks in pretty good shape. An alien in an ice box, but they\u2019re more impressed with the ice box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Dale Sisters :  Secrets\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/kWnTmLgzEEk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They make their way through to see everything that\u2019s there, sorting and \u201cPlease don\u2019t play with grenades inside.\u201d They take a car out into the Wasteland to \u201csee what it can do\u201d re: shooting it until it explodes. Cold fusion hooked up and ready. \u201cWhat will he do with it? Nothing good.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Max is speaking with an aspirant. Better ourselves to better the world. He admires the armor and starts to polish it. Dane: \u201cJust gonna get dirty again.\u201d They talk about the codex, how the Brotherhood may be the best of a bad situation. What about that girl? She left. Then they move on to the Brotherhood and the brewing civil war. More airships arrive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There\u2019s a meeting between the various heads of state in the Brotherhood. They share a meal. \u201cWhere\u2019s the Commonwealth?\u201d This would lead to civil war. With the Commonwealth. They\u2019d kick our asses. Not if we fight together. Under a common banner. Yeah, your banner. They chatter and fight. Quintus brings them back to order. There\u2019s some talk of robot fucking and how the different factions rule. Quintus shows them small boy nukes. This gives them the spine they need to agree, \u201cFuck the Commonwealth\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fudge<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Lucy and the woman walk. She compiments her and the woman answers in Latin. I\u2019m headed to Las Vegas. You shouldn\u2019t. Well, I\u2019m looking for someone. You should go home. They pass some weirdos in the mountains holding torches. \u201cFudge.\u201d The woman abandons her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bud&#8217;s Final Test<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td>Back in Vault 31.<br>Norm shouts to get their attention because some of them want to go back. \u201cI\u2019m the product of 200 years of genetic engineering. Part of a group of super managers&#8230;did Bud Askins make mistakes? Well\u2026 This is Bud\u2019s final test. If I can lead you out of here, we will prove ourselves worth and carry on Vault-Tec\u2019s strategy.\u201d<br>They start to brainstorm ways to get water. Norm looks proud of himself.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Try, Try Again<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Back with Hank. Hes in the \u201cPremium Elite Plus\u201d section. Wings the Yoyo. Thawed someone out. The guy is disoriented. His neck itches. There\u2019s a device in there. \u201cIs it reclamation day?\u201d \u201cYes, just not in the way you think. I\u2019ve been running an experiment here. But the mice are so tiny. It\u2019s finnicky.\u201d The guy tries to point to the fine print. But, Hank never read it. The man had a family but only bought a ticket for one. Expensive. You can\u2019t put a price on family\u2026 \u201cWhat are you doing?\u201d \u201cImproving a bit of outdated technology. Civilization. It hasn\u2019t worked out so far. But, if at first you don\u2019t succeed.\u201d Kablooey \u201ctry. Try. Again.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fallout Episode 10 Plot Summary (Who are these weirdos?)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Lucy stumbles on a settlement. She\u2019s surrounded by weirdos with torches, pigs heads on sticks. He climbs up into the shaft and up the later. It leads out into the Wasteland. They all climb out of the duct and follow Norm, who is blown away everything. \u201cIt\u2019s so dirty.\u201d they say. \u201cAnd the mall\u2019s gone.\u201d Norm: It\u2019s so beautiful.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Commonwealth Fucks Back<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td>Back with the Brotherhood.<br>Two knights fight in their armor while the others watch. Max is disillusioned by the spectacle and turns away. He gets challenged by someone who knows about his escapades with Moldaver. \u201cBet I could mash you.\u201d \u201cProbably\u201d Quintus nods. \u201cLet me get my armor.\u201d \u201cNo armor\u201d The guy takes a cheap shot while Max takes off his coat and proceeds to beat the ever loving piss out of the poor guy. Max nut shots him and throws his jacket. The guy pulls a knife. They cirlce one another. Max fights him and takes the knife. The guy lunges. Max guts him. The guy chokes him. Max finishes him off and the guy falls limp. His initiate cheers with the rest. Dane walks off.<br>A vertibird approaches and lands. Out walks Kumail \u201cSorry to interrupt. Paladin Harkness. Liason from the Commonwealth. I understand we are discussing a civil war. I must not have gotten my invitation.\u201d \u201cAnd yet, here you are. \u201cWelcome.\u201d Harkness gives Max an approving nod.
